USGI WWII training

On more than one occasion, I've seen people asking why soldiers, now, during Vietnam, or earlier, seem to fire when they can't see their enemy, hopefully, this explains why.
It's said that Bomber Pilots almost never see the people they kill
Riflemen rarely see the people they kill
Snipers and Marksmen almost always see the people they kill
Most riflemen kills are caused by stray bullets

I actually posted this in response to a comment made to the video: "M72 LAW Rocket Fired Too Close To Wall"
A commenter on a blog stated "Just spraying rounds at the horizon. Look at all the abuse that weapon is taking for lack of fire discipline. In reality, M4s are darn tough to put up with that sort of punishment....I see 'abuse'. What the GI is doing is laying down suppressive fire. That's not the purpose of m4s, or any other rifle for that matter."

It wasn't the Americans idea to bomb Dresden.. Churchill bombed Dresden as a" vicious payback" for the Germans bombing of Coventry. Which was also burned to the ground. It is said that Churchill allowed the bombing of Coventry rather than let the Germans know we had their codes. Enigma. American P.O.W's where in held in Dresden at the time of the Bombing.. One of them wrote a book about it.. "Slater House 7" Even they where disgusted about the bombing.
