Jesus Christ came to set the captives free. Captives refers to the people who are suffering with the curse of this world. Life with him is freedom from the curse if you truly know HIM. Jesus said,"I AM the way, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, no one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus cleansed the Lepers, showing us that he is for us, not against us! Maybe you should see what other religions can do for leoprosy?

Yep it is the symbol that most images we associate with the medical profession uses. the double helix has meant a lto to a lot of different organizations. Let me point out that just that fact does not overule the Biblical evideanse and it certainly is the glue that sticks everything together. That cannot be denied.

I was saved in February this year and since I have accepted Christ my life has changed in ways I never dreamed. I have traumatic arthritis with no cartlidge between the joints in my foot. I prayed for healing after surgery on my back and I suddenly realized that not only does my back not hurt anymore.... I have no pain in my foot for the first time in 6 years. God is awesome!!

The humanist means? Your life is as vapour opposing the wind. One might think that our lives are a gift since we never made ourselves. We also don't have one single ounce of power to cause our lives to continue forever. Why do people think that if we deny the truth, it simply will not exist. Our lives are because they we given for relationship. If we do not want to believe GOD exists, we don't have to. Simply stated the vapour does not direct the wind. One day all the chaff will be gone!

@agugin36 I appreciate your sentiments, but the simple fact of the fragility of life is not proof for the existence of a personal god, and I don't know why you think it is. I would like to note, however, that primitive thinking like yours does nothing to improve the quality and quantity of life. Attributing the damage done by a bolt of lightning to the wrath of a god does nothing to help anyone, but logic might lead to the construction of a lightning rod, which can help minimize the damage done.

@agugin36 I find it a little strange when people assume that I don't want to believe that a god (usually theirs) exists, or that I know the truth but choose to deny it. I simply hold your god to the same standards of evidence that I hold to the boogeyman, the tooth fairy, trickle down economics, and all the other unsupported claims that people have made.
