Representing the Muslim perspective was Ali Ataie: Ataie is the founder and president of the Muslim Interfaith Council.

He was born in Tehran, Iran and came to the United States in 1979.

Altaie earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

He is currently a visiting assistant instructor of religious studies at Cal Poly, as well as an instructor of apologetics at the World Alliance for Humanity in Fremont, California.

He is a student of sacred knowledge at Zaytuna Institute in Hayward, California and an author of several books. His organization is dedicated to spreading and defending the truth about Islam in America.

His two books include "In Defense of Islam: Confronting the Christians with Their Own Scriptures" and "Injil-ul Haq: the True Gospel of Jesus Christ."

Representing the Christian side was Michael Licona: Mike is a New Testament historian, author, and Christian apologist.

He is a PhD candidate in New Testament at the University of Pretoria and has an M.A. in Religious Studies from Liberty University

He has appeared as guest on numerous secular and Christian radio talk shows including nationally syndicated The Bible Answer Man Hank Hanegraff, Janet Parshalls America, Truths That Transform with Dr. D. James Kennedy and the Current.

He is asked to speak frequently for parachurch ministries such as Young Life, MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers), FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and has been the keynote speaker for multiple church retreats.

Mike was twice a guest on Lee Strobels program Faith Under Fire (PAX TV), and numerous times on D. James Kennedys Sunday morning program The Coral Ridge Hour.

Chucuo, I say the mosaic law is still valid to Christians according to Matthew 5:17-20

To answer you shortly, it doesn't really matter even if it was just for the time of moses.You have no right to condemn your own god Jesus' law whom he revealed to moses.If you condemn the apostacy law, you are condemning your own god..

The greatest of Pharisee teachers,who lived 1 generation before Jesus,was Hillel.He said Mosaic Law was "Dont do to others what you dont want others to do to you."Check him out,he's very respected..That gives room for mercy in apostasy cases.Jesus said the Torah was "Do to others as you would have them do to you"in the Sermon on the Mount and that the farisees "dont practice what they preach",so he also gave room for mercy.Also Christians believe the Mosaic law is no longer valid.

In Judaism the rabbis say non-Jews only have to obey the 7 Noahide laws to go to heaven,not the 613 of the Mosaic Law.Mosaic Law is only,and only for Jews.Also death for apostasy from the true God is only for the Jews also,never for non-Jews,unlike Islamic Law.And you say it doesnt apply today,then why do most Muslim teachers say the contrary?It is wrong in any age.They have answers to your objection about it being only during a caliphate.Islam says Sharia is for the world,even for non-Muslims.

Capital punishment in Islam for the apostate is carried out under strict conditions, only then is it acted out. One of those conditions is that it needs to sanctioned by the Khalifa. There is no Khalifa today. apart from anything else, eExucution for the apostate is within the Law of Moses. Deuteronomy 13:6-9; Deuteronomy 17:3-5; 2 Chronicles 15:13

Ali should have outright condemned the killing from apostates.Why did he say he has not enough knowledge of the subject?Do you agree with him?If you were asked if you are against racism,would you say you dont have enough knowledge of it?Ali is against human rights,and so according to him,Islam and Allah are against human rights,that of freedom of religion,including the right to change religion with no persecution.

How can you say Licona is an idiot if Ali was wrong about the Secret Gospel of Mark being authentic and about Apollonius having resurrected(which he didnt in the Greek biography)?Also why didnt Ali say outright that he condemns the killing of apostates?My friend,you have to see the facts,the evidence is against Islam,it is a false religion.Ali has to study.
