Oakland MEMORIAL

Please take a brief moment in your busy day today to reflect on the recent losses that the City of Oakland suffered and the Law Enforcement Community lost. As many of you are aware these officers were ruthlessly gunned down on 03/21/09. I had the privelege of attending the memorial services of these officers.
As an individual who was in Law Enforcement previously, I can admire and respect the continuous challenges and quick decisions these heroes must face on a daily basis. Even though there are those of you who may judge or dishonor the profession and feel they are an unnecessary evil that exists as an oppressive force in our society, the men and women in Law Enforcement do not judge or formulate opinions based on personal views when it comes time to protect the citizens who they were sworn to protect, putting their lives ahead of others .
