  • The 7 heads measurement's is wrong, it's 7 1/2 heads or 8 heads.

No adult is 7 heads, if you draw seven heads your figure will look out of proportion.

  • this guy teaches like a total ass hole.

  • Get figure drawing by Andrew Loomis and save yourself a lot of money learning nonsense.

  • Drawing the human finger is giving you a finger for an F for your work.

  • you put the hips in the wrong place he looks like a short legged fag just like you.

  • @mrdog66 The proportions is correct. Most women have a body lenght of 7 heads

  • Adult females typically measure 7 heads and male measures 8 heads.

  • There's kind of a problem with teaching proportions with a screwed-up aspect ratio on your video.

  • Something is off with his drawing. Perhaps he should have used 71/2, 1/2 being the hip. If you measure the legs of his figure correctly, the bottum part of the leg DOES NOT equal 2 head legnths, which it should. Its 4 head legnths down the entire leg, divide the top into 2 and bottum into 2.

  • Nice vid. I've seen 7/8 head lengths, but I guess I'll just have to play around with it. Helped a lot with general placement of major areas, hips, ribs etc. That was somewhat confusing to me.

  • If its going to be for life-drawing , all these measures are secondary .

In life drawing u need to use current model and measure his/her proportion by head if u want .

    New model new challenge .

Anyways this guy is doing geometry its not drawing ,he need ruler for doing straight line ? comon If u are serious in drawing..... straigh line , great circle ,steady hand is must .

And that "creation" he made.....well umm ok.

  • Very helpful to be reminded of these basics - thank you!
