Can you imagine being arrested and jailed for merely protesting an immoral law; giving a speech against it. If the Planned Parenthood backed legislation passes in the Philippines, Catholics there won't have to imagine that possibility - it will be the reality.

That is the text of the bill before the House. Sec 22 e) - note the language used. Any person who provides "disinformation" about the purpose of the act falls foul of penalties in sec 23.
The act's purpose is internally defined, and so if someone DISAGREES with that, they would fall under 22 e). So, someone objecting to the act by saying it will promote abortion etc. would fall foul of it.
When Mike was there, a Congressman showed this section to formerlly pro-RH bill Congressmen, and they changed their minds to oppose the bill - SPECIFICALLY because of this provision. Mike was specifically told that what he was doing would (in the opinion of the congressmen) by illegal under this act if it passed. These are the people who make the laws, so they really should know what they mean!

Pro-Choice: CHOOSE DEATH or CHOOSE LIFE, Pro-Life: CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE ;D. The RH Bill is used by atheists and agnostics to advocate their unbelief in God and use it as propaganda, furthermore it is used by corrupt politicians - P3Billion will be invested if the bill is passed.

Planned Parenthood is here in our shores and they are vicious. I have to be honest that sometimes I get tired of engaging in a debate with these people, some of them even proclaim that they are Catholics.
Please pray for us here.

@forgetfulmuse Sadly, the liberal-progressive media outlets here are not mentioning this at all! If they did, then where are the news articles from them about this matter? Oh wait, they are too scared to say anything for two reasons. First, it violates their liberal-progressive ideologies. Secondly, they can be killed by a government who bows to the likes of Planned Parenthood if they did anything about it.

Keep preaching the truth.
My entire family (more than 120 strong and counting) is descended from an improvished imigrant parentless 14-year old teenage rape victim. The baby boy was my grandfather. Cared for in infancy and in pity by a kind soul of no relation and who spoke little English, he never made it into a orphanage, left to fend for himself by age 7, he literally grew up in the streets of America's then poorest and most violent neighborhood.

@RealCatholicTV In a - what - 97% Catholic country? Unlikely. Still, I'm not saying no action should be taken against this. It's very serious business! Because if they don't fail, to answer your question, many millions of Fillipino lives are on the path to early destruction.

Good. Let PP pump millions of dollars into this. That way, when they fail, they will be out of pocket by as much with nothing to show for it.

Someone asked where we are getting the statement re. imprison or fine for speaking against. but I deleted the comment accidentally. I have asked the person to repost their question. Until then, however . . . sec 22e) of the bill; any person who spreads "disinformation" about the bill can suffer penalties under sec 23 (inc. imprisonment and fines). The defintion of "disinformation" includes speaking against the self-stated purpose of the bill; basically, if you disagree with it. (cont)

@RealCatholicTV This interpretation is based on precidents set under the Marcos regieme, and this interpretation is likely enough under Phillipino law that several congressmen, when shown this part of the bill (they hadn't read it previously, in much the same way as our Health Care Bill wasn't read by many) changed their mind from support to opposition.
I'm gonna put this in the description, too :)

stopping protesters is wrong. stopping ppl from doing what they want with THEIR bodies, is also wrong.
foldedintobeauty3 1 year ago
@foldedintobeauty3 Well, actually - it's not wrong to stop people doing ALL things with their bodies (putting illegal drugs into them etc.) but that's beside the point. This isn't about stopping women doing something they want with their bodies, it is about stopping people doing something (murder) to the bodies of their children which are inside them.
