  • whats KOH ?

  • KOH is the chemical symbol for sodium hydroxide (lye) that is used in toilet bowl cleaners and produces a large amount of hydrogen when mixed with water and combined with electircity. However the downfall of cracking water with sodium hyd. and elec. is that it draws double the amperage and becomes unstable easily, many explosions have occured with this expieriment. I ended with the baking soda!

  • You really should use KOH instead of baking soda. You will produce more HHO gas and less CO2. The concentration should pull around 12A

    Love the videos so far.

  • Hey warjon, thanks for the comments! Could you stop back by and rerate video one of the series. I did the reedit after you pointed out the mistake and now it is tighter. I will do my next test using KOH and see how it works. I am looking for the best mileage I can get! Thanks again...capetide

  • @capetide KOH is not sodium hydroxide, it is Potassium Hydroxide

  • wow..haha. 500 000 miles a gallon ! hahahaha

    nice.

  • KOH IS NOT the chemical abbreviation for Sodium Hydroxide, it is NaOH = SODIUM

KOH IS the chemical abbreviation for Potassium Hydroxide, similar but not the same.

  • I agree, the drycell I bought has 11 plates, only one positive and 2 negative

    - n n n n + n n n n - configuration.. its only a 4" cube.. but puts out 1.5 litres at only 3 amps (12volt)

seems the less power = more hho because I'm getting less heat, and electrolysys is only effeciencient at 1.4 to 2 volts per plate gap .. weird. I say.. just weird

  • @capetide wish I could have warned ya before that, KOH is going to eat your electode's a lot less than baking soda, and it became "unstable" because your feeding to much power into it.. with KOH you require a lot less.. I run my 11 plate cell at 12 volts @2 amps..

but same production from baking soda at 5 to 7 amps....

and you absolutely need 316L Stainless plates.. 304 grade wil disintegrate in electrolysis 10x faster :-(

  • @fido806 you want more negative plates than positive so you can produce more hydrogen than oxygen. -nn+nn- or -nnnn+nnnn- is a good starting point. the point of the neutral plates is to keep the amperage low if you don't have a controller.

  • Hi! How hot is the temperature of the generator? how many degrees Celsius?

  • another free energy freak. It takes more energy to make the hydrogen than he will get out of it. Of course we know that he is one of these morons who believe that the 12v power comes from nowhere.

  • My dude.
