Diet and routine is the main part in transforming the body but cardio can play a role in extra/quicker fat loss. When you already have a lot of muscle, doing alot of cardio will likely make you lose muscle due to the extra deflict in calories. I personally play football now and again do abs and obliques 2-3 times a week spaces out through out the week and split my muscle groups into 4 days.
