This is the new 2010 Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The new RSV4 weighs a true 434lbs on our certified Intercomp scales with about a gallon of fuel and every other fluid needed to ride, a VERY light bike for out of the crate. This one lost about 10 lbs with the stock pipe being replaced by the Leo Vince Slip-On. Factory Pro Dyno's at this bhp level read about 17% lower than the average Dynojet dyno putting to rest hopefully the "underpowered" rumor circulating the internet, a stock 2009 Suzuki Huyabusa makes 145 on this same dyno. The DynoJet correction factor would be about 163 DJHP. The pipe on this bike is the latest offering from Leo Vince and is running a completely stock mapping in the ECU as well as closed loop feedback from the o2 sensor, something I will fix soon. There is another 10-12 "easy" bhp in this machine and as much as 20 more if you are a "balls out" guy with deep pockets, putting it in the same league as Ducati's Desmosedici or D16RR for 1/3 or less the price. The sound from the 65 degree Aprilia/Piaggio engine is music, like only Italians can make come from an air pump.

  • Eargasm...

  • its an amazing bike i loved the test ride i had it is by no means gutless it was breathtakingly awesome, so was the s1000rr and the 1098r but i would still take desmosedici any day. i am biased though i have 3 ducati. hopefully one day i will have the RSV4 and the S1000rr in my collection,

  • @36psi Not yet but I am sure I will very soon. I might actually get to sample the new V4 Tuono too in Sept. I am also very interested to ride and test the NEW Ducati short stroke superbike, aka, Ducati's worst kept secret ever!

  • @36psi All manufacturer's lie out their asses about power and weight. Take one for a ride, call it gutless afterwards. It is by far more exciting to ride than the Desmosedicci and the S1000rr. More exciting than a 1098r, not really that is one exciting bike! BTW, those make about the same power, a little less actually in most cases. Even a dead stock BUSA makes about the same to a little less power on my dyno. Go to Factory Pro's website for explanation of my dyno's readings.

  • Vacation and photography trip. Taking the family down to Arenal area of Costa Rica so I can spend some time photographing lightning from the Pacific storms as it comes over Arenal, hopefully in 9 days getting that one "magic" shot of Cloud to Ground Lightning or visa versa from the Volcano's cone to the sky. Also the normal stuff, zip lines, ultralight planes, hot air ballooning and bungee jumping...

  • @MicahShoemaker Nope. I'm a fan but I don't have $20K to drop on a track toy. I hope to be someday though. What are you doing down in Central America? Just touring?

  • Well, you obviously were a good study. If ever I have time again to do languages Arabic is high up on my list. You an RSV4 owner? I guess I just need to worry about my Spanish since this time next week I will be perched up on the side of a Volcano in Central America with a few cameras...

  • @MicahShoemaker The Navy put me through the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and that's where I learned Arabic.

  • Right on, honestly thanks for the education. Where did you learn your Arabic? Impressed I am. I guess the shirt still fits "me" but I appreciate the clarification.

  • @MicahShoemaker It's often translated that way but that doesn't really make sense. Infidel means unfaithful by the obsolete meaning of the word faith which is more accurately translated to modern English as loyalty then as belief. An infidel thus is someone who has no fidelity towards or has betrayed a particular religion, perhaps by leaving it, etc. Believe me, while most people may translate Khaffir thus it really does make more sense as Atheist or Adeist.

Also I am a native American.
