Poppy and Sage came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch from Tennessee where they were rescued with hundreds of dogs and other animals that were not being properly cared for. Miniature horses have happened as a result of selective breeding. They are very cute and inviting but, because of their small size, sometimes they have health problems like protruding eyes that are easily injured, and hoof and knee problems because their short legs carry so much body weight.
They are now Barn Buddies and will permanently live at Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. You can visit Poppy & Sage every Saturday from 11am-3pm. Visit longmeadowrescueranch.org for more info.
