  • shouldn't the expansion tank be "upside down?" the way its mounted here, the air bubbles in the system will fill it up over time

  • With a bladder type expansion tank, it doesn't really matter which position it is installed in.

  • holy crap...nice gas-line.

sloppy piping...using a domestic hot water heater is truly hack....can't be canadian...because our code does not allow it....I just finished a Vitodens 200 installation today...$35,000...and it looks like a a work of art.....that mess looks horrible.

  • An open system is a bad idea. Regardless of whether the system's open or closed, the EXPANSION TANK doesn't regulate the pressure. It's there for thermal expansion that occurs when the water is heated.

  • @AikiHomes Until you have to change it!

  • I WOULD OF PLACED THE EXPANSION TANK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SYSTEM.

    NO

  • you're FIRED!

  • floppy cock

  • usually...does it take an electrician or a plumber when you have troubles with controllers and electrical parts of heating systems ?? thank you!

  • Good

  • nice gas piping job!

  • Rinnai is only rated at 82%. Tankless is approved for combo systems. This is not a constant circulation system, it is a recirculation system which circulates only when there is a call for heat. This type of system is simpler, less expensive, and requires less maintenance than a boiler with an indirect water heater. It is more efficient than indirect fired hot water systems and is, in most respects safer than indirect systems.
