  • @jjbaba 32 bit system only support 3.25 GB Ram max and rest 700+ MB is reserved for hardware, because as u know 32 bit system has only 4 GB of address bus space

    Therefore

    1) 2^32= 4294967296 independent addresses and each address hold's 1byte (8 bit) of data therefore 4294967296 becomes 4294967296 bytes or 4.00 GB but only 3.25 GB is usable

but 64 bit system has very wast address space

    2) 2^64=18446744073709551616 address now can u imagine the memory size it's super huge 2048 Peta Byte

  • I hope someone out there can help me. I inserted securely 2x4GB DDR2 rams into this motherboard but it only show 4GB rams on Window XP 64bits. your help is greatly appreciate.

  • This motherboard is a good choice if you Mac OS X Lion clone box

  • He looks like he doesn't have internal organs.

  • @Citadis7 i understand it fulfills your needs, but believe me, it's not Asus' best board. The pro range of asus boards really aren't what they used to be. Asus, in my mind, was the name in component manufacturing, but recently you have to buy the premium, pro turbo or the deluxe versions if you want quality from asus. It's a shame, i really do like them.

  • great! for about 3 weeks then all hell breaks loose! i made the big mistake in buying one. it has lasted 3 whole weeks and now it does nothing. A.S.U.S - (A Sack Of Useless Shite)
