This video is presented by http://www.talentguy.com . In this video I explain how to hold a drum stick and play different types of drum rolls. I showing how to do a double stroke roll first RRLLRRLL, later I tell how to do a single stroke roll RLRLRLRLRLRL. I also go over one method of gripping the drum stick. I explain the importance of relaxing as you play drum. The faster you play, the more relaxed you should get. You should be barely even holding on to the stick. Just do a combination of all hand and arm muscles to allow yourself to relax as you play faster and faster notes.

  • Update: ESPECIALLY the part where you mention that one is tended to use the bigger muscles of the back is quite vital, because im experiencing much tension in it during my play, i have to train my wrists and fingers more.
