@wck304 what? You mean you punished your child and she turned out to be a well adjusted human being? Someone better inform the average american household of this breakthrough. Good on you, most people are pussies and won't discipline their kids out of fear lol.

Screaming in a timeout won't make it work because... It makes you blow up like a dirty bomb!!! -:3

LOL i remember the whole "face the wall" thing. I got so freakin bored. And my parents would like walk away because they new that i wouldn't leave. And they'd like walk away and then my dad would come back like an hour later and say: "Oh, i forgot about you." Or some shit like that. I got so furious when he did that, so i was usually a good kid XD

when i was little my mom sat me in a corner by the front door for timeout and said that if I didn't be good the "new mommy place" would come in and give me an evil witch for a mommy. I was truamatized O.o but hey it worked on a 5 year old. lol

"WOW!" "WOW!" "WOOOOOOOOW!" "WOW!" "WOOOW!" "WOOOW!" "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW" sounds like she's exited for some reason! :)

@wck304 why was she put in timeout?
-
@alde1986 Then what do you do when she does something bad? Parents either do timeout, spank/hit, or take something away and usually teens have things taken away or grounded so if you're doing nothing then you're not doing it in your childs best interest. And don't she is always a angel, no child is 100% perfict.. This mother in the video definitly knows what she is doing, and her daughter seems well raised, I noticed you said you have a daughter her age, maybe its jealousy you're feeling?

@videolover1999 Kuddos to the Super Nanny.
sometimes they get timeout on the couch or in their room, but for the most part it's facing a wall in a corner. Timeout isn't supposed to be fun or interesting.

Thanks! She doesn't throw tantrums anymore. When we show her the video she laughs hysterically. She's growing into quite the respectful young lady.

I am the child's mother. I have posted a 3 part comment below.

part 3 and conclusion to my comment..........Every day when my child gets off the schoolbus she runs into my arms with a big smile and gives me a big hug. Every morning when I see her for the first time that day, she gives me a big smile and a hug. She has a strong will and can be quite defiant and she is disciplined for her defiance. But from what I can see, she is not growing up into an angry unforgiving person, but just the opposite.

continuation of comment....... After she is scolded or disciplined she is hugged and told that she is loved no matter what. Every day we tell her, "God made you and he loves you all the time no matter what. Even when you to bad things he still loves you." And she is told of Jesus' love and the forgiveness he provides. .....comment to continue.....

I am this child's mother. This video was taken a few years ago. I am confident that she won't grow to hate me for this (or for all the other time's I've disciplined her with or without the camera to wittness the event.). Every day in this house she learns of love and forgiveness through our words and actions. Every day she gets hugs and kisses and I tell her, "I love you all the time no matter what. Even when you do bad things, I still love you." ...comments to continue....
