  • I work as a bench technician at a local computer shop where we do virus/spyware cleanups (our signature service). i'd say in the last 6 months, at least 80% of the infected machines that get brought in were victims of Fake AV. It's gotten so bad, our check-in sheets now commonly read simply "Fake AV" under the description of the problem - we all know exactly what that means so that's all we write. It's getting to be a big problem.

  • @Mii2626 Since the shear volume of the poisoned results is so large this is impossible.

    But i would recomend downloading a site monitering program like mecaffe site advisor and the such.
