Post office strike

As if the woes facing the postal system in Kenya were not enough. The advent of e-mail and text messaging have been decimating postal volumes, and now workers have decided to embark on a go-slow to demand a 50% pay hike. Our reporters visited a couple of post offices in the country to find out how the mail was coping.

Pardon me for admiring my fellow Westerners and their go-getting attitudes to lead strikes and implement tough Bills, and all that, ... but its a fact most union leaders and strike protagonists against the government in the past have come from Western Kenya....if that's tribalism, asante ya punda then from you for fighting for Kenyan's rights then!!!

@merkeju when is the last time u sent a mail. its fast cheap to SMS or email s/body.

s/time back pple were told kenya railway was collapsing butnever believed it lok at now. the only posta can survive is to bring more product n change technology
