  • What a lot of nonsense. Young Cons are in the minority here in the U.K. Next time you're here meet some socialists. It'll widen your perspective. :)

  • The British youth is very libertarian socialist, not at all conservative. Besides the entire British political spectrum is shifted to the left. The Conservative Party ran with the slogan "cut the deficit not the NHS."

By American standards, the NHS is a Marxist invention, yet it is has strong support from the right. Britain politically is extremely pragmatic, the battle between ideologies has finished.

Also I have never met a young conservative with a sense of humour.

  • The youth in Britain are in no way conservative

  • You made it sound as if young conservatives are somehow better than young liberals. They are all people and the merits of the ideologies they support have nothing to do with their personal qualities. And to quote a British politician (from memory):

"If at 20 years, you are not a liberal, you have no heart, if at 40 you are not a conservative, you have no brain" W. Churchill

  • "There is nothing British about the BNP" - Andy MCNab

it seems more like a "immigration party", it's becoming a trend all over Europe.

the moment the economy suffers, everyone just starts to blame "outsiders"

  • @HowTheWorldWorks .......What? BNP is Britains only hope.

  • Wow. Well THIS is a load of crap.

  • So many thing I could say about this video...but I want to point out one particular thing he got wrong entirely. He said that the kids who grew up under a Labour government became more right-wing thinking. That's simply not the case. Of all the politically-aware people my own age that I know, the vast minority have right-wing or even Conservative views. I would even say it's unusual for this to be the case. Just wanted to point that one out.
