In the following tutorial for Left 4 Dead we begin to add standard gameplay elements. Weapons, Player Start and Fog Env Controller to make our map functionable.

  • when i press F9 and the game start the survivors spawn and fall true the floor into the ''nothing'' and keep screaming

  • info_survivor_position entity causes that because you haven't set or defined a gametype. Insert info_player_start instead.

    When you are done with the map and ready to release you'll want to force info_survivor_position. I have a video on how to do that as well.

  • @rileyjames12 only if you want to make a map for l4d2. you can make maps for games like CS TF2 GMOD HL2 Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 1

  • bots won't pick up weapons, but only if I place weapons on the floor
