WSP Finland Ltd attended this architectural bridge design competiton.
The first Alternative 's technical general drawing: The proposed span arrangement is 4x50 + 230 + 4x50 + 40 m; Sum of span lengths = 670 m; Total length of the bridge = ~695 m; Pylon is inclined backwards 12 deg; Pylon top elevation is ~+145. The traffic lanes are: 2,5 m wide walking lanes at both sides of the cross-section; 3x3,75 m wide vehicle lanes at both sides; 4 m wide middle lane reservation to safely separate the traffic flow in different directions and to enable pylon penetrate through the girder;- 4x0,5 m wide reservations for railings and to allow sufficient safety between traffic lanes for different purposes.
Total cost of bridge & road = 62 863 063 USD = ~ 1 021 524 765 625 VND
The 2nd Alternative is cable stayed bridge with A-typed tower
The 1st Alternative is chosen to design and construct. The bridge will start work in 2009.
