Roy Castle - Aladdin & His Wonderful Lamp - 25th December 1966 BBC1 Christmas Pantomime

Here's an excerpt from the BBC's once wiped Christmas pantomime that was broadcast on Christmas Day 1966. Roy Castle played Wishy Washy and his mother was played by comedian Arthur Askey. This is a musical number from near the top of the show where Roy Castle makes his entrance on stage. It'd be great to hear from anyone who went to see this show back in 1966. The entire pantomime was rediscovered as a 16mm telerecording that had been broadcast by TVNZ New Zealand.

I'm a big fan of the Aladdin play and might be doing it in the near future. I was just wondering if I could ask you a question about the version you have. In that particular version, is there a time in the play where Princess Jasmine is being carried on one of those 'lounge chaise' things by her servants? And if so, is there anyway you could post that scene?

Not sure if I saw this one live. . . I would have been four years old. I certainly remember Roy Castle and Arthur Askey! One I remember seeing was Robinson Crusoe starring Englebert Humperdink.
