We took an old brick fireplace and hand carved a wooden mantle and stone hearth and stamped the wall using vertical mortar mix.

  • tis is the house i made

  • Rustydog1236, did you ever hear the saying, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!" They like, and don't need your nasty views. You obviously do not have any taste!!!!!

  • I think it looks great. I sell houses for a living & people hate the look of the original fireplace. Great job, lots of work involved.

  • Just looks fake now. Looked better before. I hate when people ruin good honest materials with some phony stone look a like. Also the fireplace smoked like hell before and it will after as I don't see that you did anything to correct the poor design. You should have at least started a few fires and see if raising the grate a brick or two wouldn't have eliminated the smoking.
