At first, I wasn't expecting much in the way of agility for what Rossini demands, but I was surprised. I checked out a few other Rossini tenors who sing the song (including Florez), and I have to say Pavarotti does a far better job with this song than what I've heard. I'd love to hear someone like Brownlee take on a tune like this, but until I do, in my humble opinion, Pavarotti still owns this one.

Levine always seems absolutely beside himself with youthful glee, whether it's conducting grand opera at the met, doing Classical public television specials and interviews, or accompanying the likes of Pavarotti on piano for a solo recital. He truly has one of the greatest jobs on the planet. Yes, this is the giddy childlike face of a man who absolutely adores what he does for a living.
