(OLD) Let's Play Pikmin - #32. It's Plucking Time!

After getting the UV Lamp, we spend the rest of our day plucking Pikmin out of the ground :D

If you leave pikmin planted in the ground for too long, after passing the flower stage, they will revert back to the very first stage where you cannot pluck them, and eventually go back to leaf pikmin. I think that's why some pikmin weren't sprouted when you were plucking them out of the ground.

shouldn't u need all parts? i mean u need a certain number to get to the next area, and u wont clear the game unless u kill the final boss...right?

There are 3 different endings in the game. One ending where you don't collect all the necessary parts, one where you collect all the parts, and another ending where you collect all of the necessary parts, but not all of the unnecessary ones. There are 5 unnecessary parts in the game, and you can usually tell what they are based on what Olimar says about them. The UV Lamp, Massage Machine, Nova Blaster, Space Float, and the final part, are the ones you don't need to get the last one.

The first time I played this game, I only got 15 parts by Day 30, and of course, failed the game. On my second playthrough, I just barely got all 30 parts in 30 days. Now, I can get all 30 parts in 20 or 21 days.

you know what would be a DICK MOVE by the game?

filling the holes you can fall to from the ledges at the UV lamp site with water.

Yay I'm 1/6 of the way there. yay 1/3. yay 1/2. That's why I like Pikmin 2 slightly more, because Louie helps you pull up the sprouts.

It's seriously a pain in the ass getting all those pikmin up there. It took me a whole friggin day just to get that pickle jar lid in pikmin 2 because I had to be careful or else my pikmin would fall in the water and drown
