  • Other MTV videos?

  • Yes. Some MTV1 test cards from 1980s, received in U.K. or Holland.

  • 1986 and still in Black and White? lol

  • The original 1986 MTV-1 TV broadcast was in SECAM colour. However, given that the signal was received some 1,100 km away, only B/W was decoded.

  • some old vhs tapes looses the higher frequencies .. color carrier, color burst and sometimes the whole sync signals

  • Yes indeed - especially when the TV signal is received at a distance of 1,200 miles (1,900 km).

  • @FrozenDoberman 1:29 Why they play the tone pieces because They are startting to open?

  • @WestWash97 SECAM and PAL are different formats of TV broadcasting. SECAM was developed and used in France and a lot of Eastern Europe, while PAL was developed in Germany and used by much of Western Europe. I'd check out Wikipedia if you want to read more on it.

  • MTV-1 start at 8:00 close at 0:30 in 1986

    MTV-2 start at 16:00 close at 23:30 in 1986

no 19:30 - this is the news (híradó)

  • What are "SECAM" and "PAL"?

  • I'm curious what kind of antena you had :-)

  • @fun17092008 In 80's Hungarian TV is idiotic. But now it's very good! And at that time it close about 0:30 while now is 2:00!

  • 1969. The first television broadcast in colour.

1985. 90 percent of the year's programs is broadcast in colour.

  • A magyar televízió 1987-ben kezdte meg a teljes színes adást.

The Hungarian television started the full coloured broadcast in 1987
