The foreclosure help run-around, as we call it here at the Consumer Warning Network, continues to rear its ugly head. For more than a year, we've told you about homeowners facing foreclosure who can't get their lenders to work with them. We had a flash of hope with President Obama's new Making Home Affordable program, but so far it's been a disappointment. CWN'S Angie Moreschi was interviewed about the "Foreclosure Help Myth" in this in depth report by CNN's Jessica Yellin.

  • Of course the administration is going to say it's working. Yet another bullshit lie from Pennsylvania Ave.

  • Declare bk and problem solved rent for two years and try again

  • True to this day!!!!!! 2 years of not working and we have not MADE the politicians care for the Americans, not corporations.!!

  • this making homes affordable program is bullshit, there feeding on us like carnivores,

  • @katpoochie they get money from the government if they qualify you for a trial payment for three months ,then they take your house because they wont do a permanent modification, its happening everyday.

  • (continued) to be sending your paperwork, and that person on the other end also knows that your paperwork is going to be coming to *THEM*, and not just some random girl or guy in the office! (I know this probably won't work, as these people/places don't like to be this organized, efficient, or effective - [and that's probably the way they like it - easy money while they're watching and laughing at people chasing their tails] - but it's worth a shot, right?)

  • For those sending your paperwork through the mail, have you ever thought about sending it through USPS's "Proof of Delivery" and "Return Recipt" programs? (This way, when your mortgage company/loss mitigation department *DOES* get the paperwork - the proof will be there in writing/email! No if's, and's, or butt's about it!)

And on top of that, when you talk to them - you can ask to have your case assigned to *ONE*, and *ONLY ONE* case worker! This way, you know exactly who you're supposed...

  • The making homes affordable program is really for the banks not the homeowners. if the lender is paying for mpi then the homeowner is not eligible because in most cases the banks come out ahead. in most cases the morgage owed is more than the houses are worth & if the house goes into foreclosure the bank get more than the actual value of the home. it is sad but the truth is that is is all for the banking industry not the people & never will be.

  • Lying banker scumbags. The program is working well for the banks ONLY because they get to keep the money - our taxes - and are only paying lip service to granting modifications. The government needs to send a collection agency out to the banks to get our hard-earned money back. At this point, Wells Fargo can have my house. They've already ruined my credit with the loan modification.
