  • Shawn, I am 2 years into golf. I started by watching your videos(ALL of them). I was having good progress. Nobody was saying what you say, so I read books by NIcklaus, Hogan, Snead, Nelson, Moe & more. I have gone all around & this braced tilt has become extremely helpful now in my swing. I feel so faithless & feel I should appologize to you! & give thanks. I will be your greatest student & give you credit when asked. Of course after god & my mom of course, then your teaching respectfully

  • @jacobreily Right on Jacob! Hey, Check out my latest just uploaded called "Feel the Braced Tilt; shawn clement" it will help you polish this big time! Enjoy the best drill in golf for me so far too in "Sledge Hammer Golf;Shawn Clement" Shawn

  • To tilt, all you do is move your head a little to the right(for a righty)and in response, your hips will move to the left? Also it feels like my hips and shoulders are not straight at the target, are they? Also, in the backswing, you have to toss the hands back(to create width?)with the turn of your hips(right?)and at the top you will still fell braced against the left side? From there, you let everything fall around the pressure point and to get more power, you push the club like a swing?Plz answer

  • @n00bslayer74 Just like I answered to jacobreily above, the perfect answers for this are in the latest videos I uploaded (Just for you BTW :)) "Feel the Braced Tilt" and "Sledge Hammer Golf" All the best! Shawn

  • Question shawn, I notice you hit off the astro turf on a lot of your vids. To you is there a difference between the astro turf and the fairway. If so how do you adjust? Great vids to sir. My game is slowly climbing wooohooooo!

  • @BlackopsSINR If there was a contest for the average 30 handicap from mats vs grass, there would be a significant improvement with mats; HOWEVER, if you hit the ground before the ball, you will feel it with both and that is what is important. When I go from mats to grass, there is no change in performance, just a change in feel.

  • @cmsima I can't teach like shawn, however, you call it pulling from the top, but I call it changing grip pressure in the backswing(casting). If you are right handed don't grip too hard with the right hand. Too much tension in the the hands and forearms will wreck your swing!! I hold on just a tad firmer with my left but I like to feel very, very light pressure in the right hand!!

  • thx shawn. your lessons are priceless. i don't know how many times i have to review this. just cant seem to re-produce your beautiful effortless swing. been watching almost all of your lessons since '08 and bought your dvds too. gone thru multiple times mr hogan's 5 lesson book, homer kelly's crazy G.O.L.F system and others. my biggest challenge is to keep my spine angle on the downswing. also having problem "throwing" the club to the target, casting early hence...fat shots.

  • Shawn - I have a tendency to PULL from the very top of the backswing and the club doesn't bottom out . So, I tend to clip the ball off the turf. Can you elaborate on helping the club momentum? You've said in other videos, it's a "push". Is it a push with the hands? A push with the arms? Also - what direction is the push applied? Towards the ball? Towards the target? Chris
