I've been trying to teach many this for many years, sad that many think government handouts and transfers of wealth is "charity" or a form of the united order. Anything taken from you and given to another is NOT charity, charity is given from the heart because you want too. Socialist, progressive, what ever they want to call themselves they are promoting the devil's false perversion of God's plan. Far too many have been deceived by it.

You generalizes complex matters with terms like "democracy" & "socialism". To fully appreciate these terms, read political philosophy. Read: John Locke, Edmund Burke, Montesquieu, Adam Smith, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, James Madison, Friedrich Von Hayek, Mark Levin. Just for starters. I want freedom, in all its forms. I regret that government is necessary in the first place, but it necessary. I want it small, & limited. Stay away from my recourse u leach. I take care of myself, do the same.

Where does the power of government come from? From the people! Individuals have the right to defend their lives and their property, thus we delegate that power to government to do it for us by public safety departments. Taking money by force from one person to give to the another person is the right of no person, that is theft. Thus government does not get that power from the people, it is usurpation power. It is not legitimate use of government force. And you sir are a fool.

The fire and police departments are excellent examples of Democratic Socialism. Rather than leaving each individual responsible for protecting their own home from fire, everyone pools their money together, through taxes, to maintain a fire and police department and your tax dollars pay for putting out other people’s fires. It would be absurd for a company to profit by putting out fires. It's efficient and cheaper to have government run fire departments funded by tax dollars.

Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens take part. It is government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Socialism is where we all put our resources together and work for the common good of us all and not just for our own benefit. In this sense, we are sharing the wealth within society.

To a Democratic Socialist, sharing the wealth means pooling tax money together to design social programs that benefit ALL citizens of that country, city, state, etc.

As so is Democratic socialism since it is chosen by the people. If people don't like it, then they can vote against it. Russia, Cuba, North Korea, China, were not by choice but rather forced upon. In contrast, in Scandinavian countries people voted for these policies and was voluntary.

The Law of Consecration is voluntary. Socialism is not, at least not after it's implemented by a government. Having a choice to share resources is the difference. Satan wants to force you, God gives you a choice.
