  • ... This is why non-Vanilla people don't particularly welcome researchers and students into our events, and why it is important to refuse the counseling services of those who invent or insist on pathology in consensual adult sexual alternatives. "Causation" theories: invalidated Freudian theories, childhood tramau or BRAIN DAMAGE?? ... I am sure you got an "A" but please, reconsider exposing real human beings to your minimalistic tolerance.

  • @MsCloudb I'm sorry that this presentation came across that way, as I certainly didn't mean to offend, nor to give the impression that I have "minimalistic tolerance". It's quite the opposite, in fact -- though this isn't the proper forum to expound upon any particular "qualifications" I may have.

I realize (both now and when I was putting this presentation together) that there is a great deal of controversy about shoehorning non-vanilla behaviors into pathological cubbyholes…

  • @MsCloudb (con't) …and that there are very good reasons why many (including myself) object to that approach. However, when creating a presentation for a mid-level college class where research is limited to a few articles culled from "proper", peer-reviewed academic journals, there will be necessary limitations on what viewpoints are available. I did my best to present the information in as acceptable way as possible. I'm sorry that, for you at least, I fell short of that goal.
