The turn discussed 10 minutes in this discussion is simply answered by the fact that there is a high curb between main street and elm street. They could not make the right turn on to Stemmons Freeway if they stayed on Main Street. I was wondering about the very same question and got the answer here on youtube. I checked it and it is correct. It was only because of the curb, which blocks the exit to Stemmons Freeway.
