  • Lots of go, but kind of mushy 1 - 2 shifts.

  • Tired 350 turbo from a 72 Cutlass has around 160K plus miles. Leaks pretty bad and could have been low this day. Car has an exhaust leak around the doughnut gasket. I think I had some high octane gas in it at the time. Low compression 8.5 to 1 factory 455 with 180 K plus miles. 3.08 gear.

  • oh...my bad, maybe he said 455 Olds...

  • He did say 455 Olds. 455 cubic inches, 270 horsepower, 370 lbs of torque according to the factory. 180,000 miles on 36 year old pure stock low compression engine.

  • Dont you just love that turn blinker sound?

  • This is a real 442 VIN # 344871R104XXX. 71 455 with G heads. Wrong grilles, wrong hood , 350 transmission is wrong, wrong exhaust manifolds, factory bucket seat, AT Column Shift, power steering, manual drum brakes, 3.08 Open Rear End. Originally Nordic Blue.

  • What's the point of this video? I like the 442's but post something with some real HP and get that granny shifting trans fixed....

  • GM muscle cars rock!

  • nice car man. this was when GM made a quality car.

  • i wish i never sold my 85 cutlass with the 455. Theres nothing like putting your foot to the boards and feeling the power of these tourque monsters. Olds for life

  • I watch this video daily until I can get mine out of storage...

The sound of it idling, let alone spooling up the raw torque and letting the wheels loose is like a drug that's hard to kick..

Epic vid man, upload more when you can. 5 stars.

  • Love the way it chirps when it gets a small drink of gas.

  • Since this was filmed Ive recently had the harmonic balancer replaced with a used one. The harmonic balancer must have been what was making this thing squeal. I thought it was just a fan belt squealing but the harmonic balancer was slipping back into the motor and beginning to grind the bolts on the timing chain cover. Runs much quieter now. Transmission is leaking badly. Maybe the torque converter. Losing alot of power with the trans. Id like to see some shots of your 70.
