  • Taken off the highway for safety reasons? No one told me! My trusty Rampside did 5 years of duty as my daily driver, covering 20-40K per year, and it was a champ!

Make sure you know your facts before opening your mouth. Your ass is showing.

  • There is no sound. Originally there would have been a record played at the same time as the video.

  • A very persuasive arguement. The logic is almost Vulcan!

  • You know, if I was to take the 200lb counter weight off the back of my econoline pickup and put it at the nose of the cab, I bet it would act just like the one in this video. At least I have a place in the back of the truck to load things. My engine is next to me, up out of the way, not at the back where the tailgate is supposed to be.

  • Ford didn't put the counter weight in the E-line when this video was made.

Let's see, the bed on my RAMPside is 31" deep, and I have a ramp for ease of loading. Wheeled a fridge into the back of your E-line any time lately?

Oh yeah, my Rampside is rated for 20lbs short of a ton. How much can your Econoline carry?

I also have another video of a later '63 Econoline van (with the 175lb counterweight) that does exactly the same thing under braking.

  • I've seen Chevy trucks that were broke in half, I've seen where their fancy torsion bars broke off the rusted frames as well as their trailing arms in the rear. I grew up around auto salvage, and in my opinion GM never made a better truck than Ford or Dodge. Also, a GM engine can never take being overheated without screwing something up, whereas I have seen Ford and Chrysler engines over heat to the point of locking up, then cool back down and go for a few more years!

  • 1:33 seriously though who can go up to a guy who's riding a crotch rocket and say (HEY! I bet I can do a better stoppie than you in my pickup!

  • I have owned old Ford trucks, but never will again. I just sold a 1964 Ford 3/4 ton truck with the straight axle. You needed a kidney transplant after a bumpy road in that truck. It never was reliable either. Now, my 1960 Chevy pickup and my 1966 Chevy 2 ton start every time and ride well like the video shows. The Chevy straight 6 "Stovebolt" engine was a great engine also. Never has a Chevy straight 6 engine let me down.......

  • :14 I have heard of a short tailgate option on the Econoline pickup but never have seen one until I saw this video.

  • My point is ford and chevy need eachother. they strive to do better than one another which gave us the camaro, mustang, caprice, capri, nova, fairlane, chevelle, falcon. mostly all your favorites.... SS's and GT's.

  • Honestlyi love FORD. but chevys are cool too. americans need to get this asian shit out of america and back into asia or wherever. Besides AMERICA needs FORD. Without FORD, CHEVROLET wouldnt have any competition because, well we all no MoPar is shit:).

  • Fuck ford . Sales dont mean anything. Poor fools that buy them

  • @RM250D8rzr you got that right.

  • This video is just fun as hell to watch, especially the srtiped down chassie cab with the apples falling off. Too funny. Its very hard to find non biased advertisements, after all how are you supposed to sell your stuff. I do like the jackin at opposite corners to test it's rigidness. Oh, and so theres no confusion, "Dirty jobs" lost some points with me, lol JK Mike, I will still watch your show. Go Chevy

  • they both make different kinds of crap. end of debate.

  • for me chevy will always be the best no matter what
