homework lesson fool..... the gdp was at a 10 year low, unemployment was high and inflation was through the roof. the starting of the Gulf War, gas prices went higher than ever. the stock market took a dive.... President Clinton walked into a recesion and it ran on for almost 5 years....wake up smelly fish

I hate how Democrats blame the Republicans for the housing failure. Whose fault is it? THE DEMOCRATS! They pushed through policies in Carter's and Clinton's presidency that forced bad loans on people that couldn't pay them. Democrats hurt the people they claim they support -- the lower and middle classes. These are the people who now can't pay back their mortgages. So don't even try to tell me it was the Republicans fault. Oh, and the last 4 years we have had a Democratic congress. Blame them.
