It's the most stable democratic country in the whole of SE Asia. It's a complex society with 1.2 billion people and 5000 year culture and this particular incident relates to a language related discourse. Unless you have knowledge about the issue, I'd recommend not jumping to conclusions!

Not parliament, not gujarat state assembly, not punjab state assembly. This is Abu Azmi taking the oath in the Maharashtra state assembly. He took the oath in Hindi. This riled up MLAs belonging to the MNS party, led by Ramesh Wanjale. They thought he should be taking the oath in Marathi instead. This is the unholy marriage of majoritarian identity politics and hooliganism.
