Oh my god, he had so many horrible childhood stuff happen to him, like when he talks about the cows and witnessing that girl on fire. Also, in some places you can clearly see where he gets his jokes from, like when he talks about his mate licking a battery haha!! :D

Got this for Christmas ... nearly finished reading it :) its a very good read. Sad in some places but hilarious in others . . . I can even empathise with some of his feelings which makes it even better .
