  • Using this since 1997. Wouldn't give it up for anything. People saying that all you get is bill scanning, don't have a clue what this service offers.

    To list a few:

Complete record of what you paid for each category over any period of time.

Automatic minimum payments on credit card bills

Very sophisticated rules on how to pay bills.

Excellent notification of scheduled transactions for the week

Ability to do your bills from one site

    List goes on and on.

  • The Zeus Trojan targets banks as well. It could target your banks online billpay the exact same way. No one is protected 100% from online fraud today. As soon as your doing transactions online, or any of your service providers is (and they all do, who would want to work with a business that deals only with paper today), you are at risk.

  • Paper bills scanned, all bills sent and , managed in one central site, with great dashboards, all records kept and available on a CD, notices scanned also and filed, check on bank balance before you send your payment, autopay available.. I pay only 10.95 and never have to worry about anything. I travel abroad all the time, I can call the 800 number from anywhere. Seriously, if you are at home always, like to file and have the time, you can save the money. At 130/year, it is well worth it for me.

  • I have used my bank and have inquired. You don't have to use a service to find out what others say and what the features are.

I use the bank to write check for my business account, and keep Paypal for all the personal payments.

I have been doing this, as I said for 9 years, and am a very savvy shopper. Paytrust has never made a single mistake in bill attribution, scanning, check sending, all is flawless. That is why I am so comfortable praising them. What besides the price, bothers you?

  • How many bill presentment and payment services like Paytrust exist out there? Not many. There's a reason for that. So if you want to say "best in class", that's not saying much. And if you've been with Paytrust for 9 years, how would you know anyway? Get real.

  • Their website says the current cost for new subscribers is $12.95 per month for total bill management, and there is a fee per transaction once you are over 25 transactions in any month. That's $155 a year, minimum. Since you can get online bill payment and electronic billing for free from many banks and credit unions, that means that you are paying basically to get your paper bills scanned, and to get email reminders about the bills.

As for security, try googling zeus trojan.

  • I'll address the cons: I never had to complain about the customer service.Excellent.

Costs: seriously, the cost of missing payments, time spent filing or scanning paper, sorting, keeping records... doesn't even start to compare to the 10 monthly bucks.

Security, well today stuff is more secure on the web than in your wallet,I understood that losing a HD full of data last year.

No changes of address for me and autodebit for 10$/mo, who are we kidding?

Conclusion:9 years of use, best in class.

  • I used Paytrust for nine years. Now I've found that the online bill paying service offered by my credit union provides 80% of the functionality for zero cost.

  • Paytrust is the best bill management system I have ever used

  • paytrust pros and cons pros many paper bills scanned for you bills preorganized for you total due and min pay and date due provided. don't lose scanned bills usual benies of onlline bill payment cons cost over time adds up not all billers cooperate paytrust collects its fee by automatic debiting security risks? who knows? billers change payment addresses over time paytrust customer service poor
