@david1513 i make r candy all the time and you don't need to let cure for that long so long as the cooed fuel is brittle and snaps when broken its fine and will produce plenty thrust
@david1513 hey nice formula, water isn't bad for a formula just as long as it has all be evaporated before cooling, this ensures it is still dry, some formulas are easier with water and some it isn't necessary.
it has a nice beginning bas as you might have noticed there is an un-productive flame for a long time after the initial flare, this is where all the excess elements are burned! id cut down at least half the sulfur and add add half a tablespoon extra potassium nitrate. Happy pyrotechnics
Try just KNO3 and Sugar, better still, bring the sugar up to melt in
a double-boiler (water bath) and stir in KNO3 with a wooden spoon
(a metal spoon can set it off) and then cast it in a fuel grain in the
rocket tube with a channel down its center (leave a rod through the
mold you can pull out) and let it cool. Use about 3.5 parts to 1 KNO3
by weight.
