  • perpetual motion groove, universal folklore descending pentatonic riff, creative arrangement of blues structure, interchangeable call and response, it's like they've taken all the elements of music, popular or otherwise, stirred and shaken, and then produce the best song of all time. I've been listening to it nearly 40 years and I just never tire of hearing it. They found the primeval beat, the subconscious groove of life and produced a timeless classic. Thanks for posting this version.

  • Go on mate sing your heart out. 100%

  • @thgraham57 you are a legend wish i could meet ya sounds like you got some grear storiesand knowledge,ya aint that old yet im 36 last of the atari and playin stickball gen ,if i had this tech when i was younger i would of been a whale kinda glad i didnt

  • @dugitomi very true, it just rolls along, all lazy guitar stabs & with a rhythm that just makes you want to move. Until recently i had only ever heard the stones do this live (from around 1990 - present) and the tempo that they play it is just wrong as it kills the groove so i never really bothered to check out the original , but when i heard it in its original form i think it sounds so good.....

  • I was there going into 9th grade, Spectrum with my first squeeze......unforgettable on many fronts. Now I own 9 guitars, 53 years old and rockin like a teenager...bless you all for knowing the key to youth.. our little secret huh??

  • i saw this show in 72. i saw 'em on the 69 tour too.. they closed with this song and it was before "exile" was released. it was amazing. ft worth convention center. don't know how many times i've seen 'em since but the 69/72 shows were the best. just a straight up pure R&R band! KLAUSICK!
