@baptistedeschrevel you can by them on ebay or at select hobbies but they do no have a throttle and are not very well suited to rc cars they would require heavy modification but it can be done.

On the Channel 4 series "The Secret Life of Machines" they put one of these on the end of a metre stick and used it to spin around someone in an office chair- it did a pretty good job.

Sorry but the COX was Preceeded by the Alban Bambi which was 0.1 cc and so smaller than the Cox so the title goes to the Davies Charlton company of the isle of man for thier Alban Bambi, though it ceased production a long time ago, was nowhere near as powerfull as the Cox and more of a toy than a serious engine. It was deisel as oposed to glow plug or semideisel as the Cox is.
Nice to see it, however please correct the volume in the title, Cox Tee Dee .010 cu. in. is 0.164cc, it's the Cox Pee Wee .020 that is 0.33cc.

@agridoc Thanks for pointing this out schoolboy error on my part! Other specs to those interested are-Weight .49 oz. Bore.237" Stroke.226" Displacement .00997 Cu in.----.163cc overall height 1 17/36" overall length1 1/2" Width 1 1/16" Prop size 3" diameter by 1 1/4" pitch nominal 27500rpm. Does anyone know how much power is needed so spin a prop of this size to the speed quoted. I wouldn't mind knowing the power to weight ratio come on boffins let me know the answers.
