your an idiot. 4 years undergrad + 4 years med school (200,000 in tuition costs) + 3 - 7 years residency getting payed 50k per year. doctors sacrifice so much, if they made any less than 120k per year after residency they wouldn't be able to pay their debt. Your clearly ignorant though, educate yourself before you start calling doctors "the most greedy people ever". tool.

  • lol... Won't argue with you... you are ignorant and stubborn.

  • @Alias1EE7 You're* or you are*.

  • @dalecampbl7 You're not following the thread of the conversation anymore, considering you've completely ignored what I said about medical schools. Now I'm bored. You may want to try dealing with people more on your level, just a thought.

  • By the way, I'll tell you when America stopped valuing hard work, at least temporarily...it was when we bailed out CEOs of BIG BANKS with $700,000,000,000. Yup. I don't need news buddy...I'm a lawyer, I know how law schools work, they let anyone into some law school..but of course, u come out from a bottom school without hopes of a job. Med school is different, only lke what 40% make it in? That's a good deal if u can make it in. But why not let it loose like law schools?

  • @dalecampbl7 BUT since your just a person trying to educate me about my own profession, I'm here to educate you, not judge, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that you need to look for yourself where you get your information from. Fox News? CNN? Both incredibly biased on the political spectrum...obviously had *some* influence on you.

Read a book, learn how to check your sources. Your glaring misinformation not only hurts my brain, but I'm sure it hurts yours to know that you were wrong. :)

  • @dalecampbl7 In the last decade alone, we have seen the opening / propositioning of over 60 new M.D./D.O. schools. Oh, don't tell me you didn't know that D.O.'s are also licensed physicians that are allowed the unlimited practice of medicine in America too, right? Yeah, and they have their own medical schools, accrediting bodies, and also have plans of opening up new medical schools as well. I can name at least five new osteopathic schools from the top of my head.

    You're pretty much done.

  • @dalecampbl7 Your argument, by definition, is invalid because your assumption about the AMA is wrong. The AMA is merely an organization of physicians who advocate the art and science of medicine. The LCME is the actual body of accreditation that new medical schools must adhere to. Additionally, it is not the job of the LCME to "cap" the number of medical schools. That assumption as well as your first one is statistically false. *continued*

  • oh really? the AMA purposefully caps the number of med school students so they can create a short supply that will in turn charge more. Screw balls trying to throw your right wing righteousness into the working people's faces....not saying all doctors are bad, but the AMA does what it does, FOR 1 REASON and 1 REASON ONLY! Raise medical costs and maintain doctor's salaries. Though lawyers get crapped on by society, law schools surprisingly don't cap students.

  • @dalecampbl7 So what exactly is a "reasonable: amount? When did America stop being a culture in which we value hard work, education, and reward people who put that time and effort into accomplishing something, particularly while providing a service to the rest of society?

  • @dalecampbl7 Your kind of bullshit, though, is why everyone thinks doctors are greedy and overpaid. Some political morons spouting nonsense about the profession. Oh yeah, and we should all be paid "a reasonable amount" for the work we do. What is that exactly? What is a reasonable amount to make for someone who worked anywhere from 11 to 15+ years of their lives training to do a job, acquiring enormous debt along the way, and let's not forget the liability incurred during medical practice.

  • @dalecampbl7 Your mom isn't a dentist (and for the record, general dentists are never MDs so the "close enough" quip confused me), therefore she has no idea of the medical implications that would make extraction necessary. Maybe she had an infection, maybe there was bone loss, maybe there were early signs of cancer. The point is, your mom is clueless, as are most patients.

That aside, you my friend need to be prescribed a huge mallet in order to pound some sense into that thick skull of yours.
