  • It's a good copy, but it's certainly isn't what Johnny plays. Watch any live video and he isn't playing the same chords you are. This isn't a critism as copying Marr to the exact is a tough ask.

  • @spmcd2011: I appreciate the comment and totally agree. When I'm learning tracks, I have to make compromises when there is something that is simply too difficult for me to play. I would say my covers are approximations rather than attempted copies. If people watch my videos and it helps them learn (and that includes noticing errors in my playing and working out how it should be played), then I'll be happy :)

  • That is AWSESOME! But why are you using a capo?

  • @rawerner666: Thanks for the comment. Reason for capo: force of habit :) and also, when I was working on the track, I did start without a capo. Because of the speed, I hit a lot of open strings. I felt that any mistakes with open strings sounded better with the capo on.

  • Incredible good.

Do you use any kind of delay or your right hand is really doing those triplets so fast.

    Good work

  • @cojonesyaconeluser: thanks for the comment and sorry for slow reply. No delay used - just good old-fashioned strumming :) It's an absolute killer on the right hand!

  • First 3 notes are right...

  • I love this song!! To me Johnny Marr was the smiths!

  • YOU ARE MAGNIFICENT !!!

  • Tha's fantastic, mate. It really is! One song in particular that I have always wanted to play but never quite got it (in fact, I was playing it completely differently to yours. I knew it wasn't right but I didn't realise how far off I was!).

I'd be so grateful if you could just tell me what chord shape you are playing there. I can't quite see it.

Thanks in advance and all the best!
