"best to watch full screen and in HD" I am reading from a class given by Tridandiswami Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja in Murwillumbah, Australia, December 3, 2002 on the subject of the impure Guru.

A bona fide spiritual master is in the disciplic succession from time eternal, and he does not deviate at all from the instructions of the Supreme Lord as they were imparted millions of years ago to the sun-god, from whom the instructions of Bhagavad-Gita have come down to the earthly kingdom.
Bhagavad Gita 4.42 Purport by Srila Prabhupada

Please be so kind and help me to create local interest for Krishna Consciousness in my home town in the UK, by purchasing this very

good relaxation and tension relief CD from me for only £2.95 at the link below.

The profits are used to finance the distribution of spiritual literature, functions and activities, to help others to begin on the path of self

realization. Any donations are welcome, thank you.

  • I know personally people they are reinitiated by Narayana Maharaja although their Gurus are still alive and initiated Gurus. How is this possible in the vaisnavatradition? Is this bonafide?

  • @stageofsilence Hare Krishna, just logged in after a long time. Yeah i understand, first of all the guru has to be bonafied and for that we have to know proper guru tattva. You think someone who has not been given guru status by Srila Prabhupada but took it anyway after having been a devotee for just a couple of years is a guru? Thats my opinion. SNM never took any disciples away, but only initiated after their guru had fallen or the relationship became totally hopeless, not otherwise.

  • thanks yeah your right, music would be better I think haribolo

  • Make lord himself as Guru. Cut the middle men and then chant Hare Kirshna and BE HAPPY.

  • Lord Krishna is Original Guru thats right and He says in The Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4.34

    tad viddhi pranipatena

    pariprasnena sevaya

    upadeksyanti te jnanam

    jnaninas tattva-darsinah

    TRANSLATION

Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized souls can impart knowledge unto you because they have seen the truth.

    No middle man, no Krishna

  • "Pure cow milk from a male donkey" - too funny. Srila Narayana Maharaj Ki Jai!

  • @stageofsilence

If your guru is not bonafide and has fallen down then yes you need to seek out a bona fide Guru and take shelter of him. Otherwise you will have no connection with Guru and Krishna. Gurudev has to have realization of Radha-krishna only then your connection with Krishna can be established. Otherwise your progress will be very slow. Hence what Srila Narayana maharaj did was good and perfect.

  • Thanks you , Jaya Sri Gurudeva Ki jaya, Thanks Sri Gurudeva 's love and mercy showering to all HK and China devotee,we can open our eye an see the absolute true

  • ॐ Hare Kṛṣṇa ॐ

  • The Lord himself declares that the guru is absolutely necessary, those who declare anything else are just speculators who think themselves more wise than god and thus curse themselves to stay in darkness...god bless!!!

(to devarsi: i think it would be easier to understand the reading without the chanting in the background:-) thanx

    jay gaur-nitai!!!
