I miss assisting with root canals. :(

Man, that patient's body is saying 'get rid of this goddam dead tooth' not, 'Hey, screw around even more with goofy surgeries'.

Marvelous job, congrats, marvelous results, hats off to you.

Great skills!! and perfect understanding of the importance of proper seal all along the root canal. What have you use to achive hemostasia in the bone crypt? What carriers have you use to place the MTA in the retroprep??

I use 1:50k epi 2% lido. Waiting 10 minutes and for crypt control I use Racelets which are racemic epinephrine pellets. after I resect the root. I place a racelet in the back of the crypt. if the crypt is large I place additional dry cotton pellets over the racelet. when I do my root end prep. the debris that isn't immediately suctioned gets trapped in the cotton pellet so when I remove the pellet the debris comes with it.

If the retroprep is blocked with cotton, then I remove some of the pellets to place the MTA. In Don Aren's Textbook there is a good diagram of this.
