Just as you said, it makes PEOPLE get sick.
I'm sorry but if I recall, dogs and people are two separate beings. Dogs can eat things that humans cannot and vice versa :)

I actually feed my papillon girl with meat (swine herts) too and she is very healthy and energetic. But I wouldn't tolerate that barking.
