@TickleMaster2009 every fan of japan always believes the japanese voice actors out do english voice actors I quite frankly love T.C Carson as Kratos and the japanese counterpart is cool but I don't like the fact that nobody cares about english voice actors it's always japan japan japan

Sorry but I think T.C. Carson does a better job of playing as the voice of kratos..

@Jaegar19Ultima well unless it's a modern funimation dub they almost always do work that is on par witht he japanese counter part and since English is my natural language I prefer it especially if there are quality performances.

Yeah, watching Japanese movies and anime in original dub is always the best. But playing GOW in japanese!? No thanks.

@SilentBlues23 here's the thing, when it comes to acting sure there are differences between english and japanese in terms of how the norms of directing are for english and japanese studios however I've listened to both english and japanese dubs of anime to really not prefer one over the other because I know what to expect when I listen to both. And people need to cut the crap with english voice overs we have plenty of great voice talents to this day, many of them I wish would voice anime today

I always wondered why people went crazy over the japanese voices. this is just my opinion, but I prefer to watch a show without having to read stuff all the time because it isnt my native language. also, the voices in the japanese dub are almost always annoying. at least with the english dub, I understand wtf they are saying. but then again, anime in general has fallen out of style since 05.

@KillHammerVideo Besides japanese fans are more respectful of english dubs than people over here, sure, they love their dubs overall but they show that love as well as foreign dubs, it is the quintessential proof that shows that some americans (especially online) don't have the intellect or balls to realize that blind fanaticism shows a form of hypocrasy because of how they can't see how adversely their own hate is worse than what they themselves are adamantly opposed to to me dubs are just that

@Jaegar19Ultima Metal Gear is an exception I guess. Even the creator preferred english voice actors for that game.

@SilvrDragon52 There are people who don't even prefer T.C Carson as Kratos so the argument isn't exactly misinterpeted it's just from others views and what I've learned is my standpoint, there are current popular english voice overs who are getting adept at mimicing the japanese counterparts to some degree. People are divided on the issue so that leads to where things are now, you can't fully sway one side to another some people want to better understand the material without relying on fansubs

You're misinterpreting the argument - what people want is the quality of the original voice. There are so many subtleties to language and cultural ad libs that nothing beats the performance in the original context. Unless a game is high-profile, english dubs on japanese games often suck, and I have no doubt that japanese dubs over english games suck as well.
