This is the theme of the feature documentary "Congorilla" filmed by Richard W. Maedler for Martin and Osa Johnson in 1931 on Safari.
Martin and Osa Johnson were world renowned explorers and Cinematographers.
"Congorilla" was shot entirely in Africa using optical sound and silent cameras.
We made this clip for the Safari Museum , I found the rare 1932 Theatre Orchestra arrangement in an ancient suitcase of music from the band library of the P&O Liner "SS Rawalpindi"
Julie O'Hara sings the Vocal Chorus and Emma Jives around in her Mata Hari costume.
Many thanks to the Safari Museum for permission to post this clip.
The Martin and Osa Johnson safari Museum is located in Chanute Kansas.
Check out their website at www.safarimuseum.com
