Three of my latest harps. The Mcfall lever harp has been strung with gut and built without laminate 10 staved sycamore sound box shaped to appear round, solid red ceder soundboard with Peter Brough's bronze levers. Cosmetically aged for that older world look.

Double strung harp. Two 19 string rows strung using gut with a sound box hollowed from a single block of lime (linden)

eilidh 27 string wire strung clarsach. Brass tuner supports, double headed reptile on the fore pillar and soundbox hollowed from a single block of lime (linden) Stained using peat.

Thanks for watching!

  • Well, I'm sure the videos will all be marvellous to the viewers anyway, William. I dream of seeing these wonderful harps hands-on someday...will get in touch to see if that's possible IF and when the time comes and Skye - or even the UK - comes into view. Mind you, I've been dreaming this for some years. Katie

  • The McFall is beautiful and so is the Eilidh. How big is the McFall?

  • Thanks Michael! that means so much coming from you with the work that you do. Thanks! :-) There is a quite a bit of peat around...

  • Great work!! your harp making is really developing, I love the details, ((Peat stain is a great idea, too))
