My latest home project, multitouch table in combination with kinect to create augmented reality applications.

I can't give you a manual building the table, but I can give you the techniques.

If you google them you will find all you need. The multi-touch bases on a FTIR setup.

The finger tracking library is called "touchlib" .The "3D effect" is accomplished with headtracking via kinect. Google for " Perspective Projection + Headtracking" or "Fishtank VR".

Really cool stuff! I just made a 2.5D user perspective application for a school project and I do it via screen tracking from the user's perspective rather than head tracking from the perspective of the screen. I am curious as to how you are estimating the viewer's perspective in order to render appropriately. It seems to work really well. Where is the Kinect located and what are you tracking?

Is there any possible chance that you could show some of us how you made the table. I would really appreciate that. that is the most amazing thing ive seen. It gave me an idea for my next build but I don't know how tomake an AR table like that. if it could be bigger that would make my idea easier too. Thanks so much. Great Job

Boost this experience with a 3D projector and 3D glasses and you got the 1st generation true holographic display table. Great impact on education and engineering and so much more! Idea: provide the "service" of setting up devices in this fashion.
