The S5 isn't meant to hang with the M3. The RS5 was designed for that.

@gisenberg Even thought the m3 is better than the s5, the 2008 s5 is not that much off from the m3. I talked to the racing instructors at the bmw driving school who compared the cars and the main complaint was that the s5 suspension was a little to soft.

@jetliigor well.. the S5 was never meant to compete with the M3, neither was the RS5. the more suitable competitor for the M3 is the RS4. but i'll agree the M3 is still better than the RS4, but you still gotta give respect to the amazing sounding amazing looking S5

Yeah its the lame ass AWD and weight.! But i think its design outranks any luxury coupe including the mercs and BMW's :D

It's a nice looking car but real car enthusiasts and experts say it'll never be better than the BMW m3. Even the Rs5 can't beat the bmw m3.
