I recognise this problem from volunteering at a state hospital in Dar es-Sakaam (Tanzania). In the pediatrics ward, there were probably 25-33% who were burn victims. I also draw the parallel to the many open fires I saw in the homes, but I saw and heard nothing of how to prevent more burns. Sure, a children-safe oven would help - but there should be simpler methods of spreading information or doing SOMETHING for the children.
