    i hear you...thats one of the reasons i love twitter, i can follow so many diff types of news sources, instead of just watching the programmed cycle on TV

  • Agreed, John. They will report these cases and provide statistical analysis, yet you'll find that they misrepresent the data in nearly every case. For example, if they want to say that 37% of people die from heart disease, at the very bottom of the screen in minute, 3 point font, they will write:

    Margin of error, 12% or so. That's huge! We're talking about MILLIONS of people here!

  • I read on the US Census website that suicide is on the top three causes of death, for every age bracket from 11 to 37. You don't ever hear that on the news.
